5 Point Scale Corresponding to Letter Grades
Each learning task completed by students will be appropriately weighted and
achievement in relation to these standards will be translated into one of the
following letter grade categories:
5 Exceeding expectations (A: 86 – 100%)- Extending Expectations
• I have fully completed the task
• I have met and exceed all criteria
• My ideas are unique and creative
• I have chosen and used many appropriate dress –ups
• High quality work, needing very few corrections
4 Fully Meeting (B: 73 – 85%)-Mastering Expectations
• I have fully completed the task
• I have fully met all criteria
• Many of my ideas are unique
• I have used some dress–ups
• High quality work, but not outstanding
3 Mostly Meeting (C+: 67 – 72 %)- Refining Expectations
• I have met most criteria
• Some of my ideas are unique
• I have used few dress-ups
• Solid quality work
2 Minimally Meeting (C: 60 – 66%)- Developing Expectations
• I have completed the task, but not met all criteria
• My ideas are predictable
• I have tried to use some dress-ups
• Acceptable work, but lots of room for improvement
1 Not Yet Meeting (C-: 50 – 59 %)- Acquiring Expectations
• I have not completed the task
• My ideas are incomplete
• I have not used any dress-ups
• Work shows minimal understanding
